Never had any musical training, and it shows. can keep a beat, after a fashion. Started playing in my 40s. Played in a local concert band as 2nd percussion and didn't really enjoy it much, so gave it up. Met up with the rest of the band at the famous Sutton Jazz Workshop (now East Rushton Workshop).
Progressed from jazz bongoes (a rare artform to a full kit over several months, eventually going broke with my Arbiter Flats Kit.
