I have always loved music especially jazz, my brother bought me a trumpet when I was 14 and played along with records, I also played jaws harp, penny whistle, harmonica and guitar. In the eighties went to London to buy a flute, walking through Covent Garden I saw a busker playing his tenor saxaphone and was immediately determined to learn this next, it took me ten years to achieve this! I frequented the Modern Jazz Club in Cambridge and was a founder member of the  Cambridge Jazz Co-op where I learnt to play with marvellous professional musicians as our tutors. Moved to Norfolk in 2003, went on a Jazz couse in Hunstanton run by one of the tutors from Cambridge and met Phil Pit. We both started busking for charity in Aylsham in the farmers market every month. Next we joined a jazz co-op just starting up in Sutton, this is where we met Helen, Matthew and Dave, Ced came next and we formed One Foot in the Groove. When our first guitarist left, Malcolm joined. I  also played in various other bands but One Foot is my main focus. we are going strong after seven years, better than ever!
