As a teenager I persuaded my parents to buy me a clarinet and my twin brother had a trumpet. Mostly we played along to records - Chris Barber, Aker Bilk, Kenny Ball etc. butwe never quite managed it with Dizzy Gillespie and Miles Davis! Then being a Lawyer got in the way of my love for music and it was quite a joy to become part of a band five or six years ago - even better now that I'm retired. Tried tenor sax for a while bit it was a particularly difficult instrument I was trying on, the alto I have now is much easier. Now I have to balance the music with my wife of 44 years, three children and eight grand children also my commitment with the Methodist Church.
